Robert L. Brest, 57, of New Castle, passed away quietly May 24, 2010, at the Robin Lodge family camp in Kane. Born Apr. 29, 1953, in New Castle, he was the son of Robert O. and Pearl L. Stevenson Brest. Robert was an assistant manager at Auto Zone. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was a car enthusiast, restoring a 1988 Ford pick-up. In addition to his mother, Pearl of New Castle, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Keith Watson of Silverton, Ore.; a son, Robbie L. Brest Johnson of Redmond, Ore.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Tom Carney of Dayton, Ohio, and Marsha and John Presnar of New Castle; a grandson, Zane Watson; two granddaughters, Elissa Watson and Mykah Johnson; a nephew, Chris Carney; and two nieces, Andrea Carney Cabral and Stephanie Carney. He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the funeral home. The Rev.
