Lady Wolves put together winning streak

October 11, 2011

The Kane Lady Wolves are back on track as they won their last two matches against St. Marys and Punxsutawney.
"The girls have been playing much better these last few weeks and they’re really focused on trying to get to districts," said Kane head varsity volleyball coach Judy Kessler. "Last week we beat St. Marys in three and tonight Punxsy in four. We just keep looking to our next match and focusing on it and not looking too far down the road. Ultimately, we want to be in the district final match, but that’s in our future. Right now, we have teams to beat."

Wolves suffer heartbreaking defeat against St. Marys

The Kane Wolves soccer team traveled to St. Marys to take on the Dutchmen on Tuesday afternoon.
Kane already played St. Marys at home three weeks ago and came away with a one-goal loss. Despite the loss in the previous match Kane generated little offense and got beat in the middle of the field. The Wolves knew they would need to bulk up the central part of the field and generate more offense to have a chance to win the game.
