Kane shuts out Cameron County

Kane bounce back in a big way Friday after a tough physical loss last week to totally shut down Cameron County, 41-0.

The Kane Lady Wolves evened their season record to 2-2 with a 3-game sweep of the Sheffield Wolverines 25-7, 25-15, 25-22.
“We played fairly consistently all night and passed the ball well for the most part," Kane coach Judy Kessler said. "A few of the girls moved around tonight because of an injury so it was nice to see them adapt very well and play as if they’ve been in those spots since the beginning.”

Myrtle L. Harris

Myrtle L. Harris, 67, of Oak Lane, passed away on Sunday evening, Sept. 11, 2011, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Braddock, a daughter of the late Wallace G. and Rosaline A. (Heinz) Schleicher. On April 30, 1972, she married Ralph W. Harris Sr. who preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2010.

Earlier in her life she had been employed as a waitress and a nursing care assistant. She retired after more than 20 years of service as a truck driver with Shaffer Trucking.
