JAMES CITY – The Highland Township Board of Supervisors is considering the adoption of an ordinance to ban the deposit of Marcellus Shale gas well drilling "waste."
On Sunday, Dec. 9, the dancers at Studio K held their second annual Student Choreography Concert at the Kane Community Center. Eighteen dances were performed.
JAMES CITY – The federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) heard adamant opposition Tuesday against a proposed "injection well" for the disposal of drilling fluids.
LANTZ CORNERS – The McKean County Planning Commission met Tuesday and approved the consolidation of three parcels into one upon which will be built a Nittany Minit Mart. The parcels, owned by Tetons LLC, of Curtisville, will be leased by Nittany for a 25-year period, and is located near the intersection of Route 219 and Route 6 in Lantz Corners.
SMETHPORT – The elective position of McKean County jury commissioner has been abolished as of Jan. 1, 2014.
