This past Saturday, 19 of Kane’s JO Wrestlers traveled to compete at Salamanca, N.Y. The team went up against wrestlers from Erie, Gowanda, Coudersport, Olean, and Hornell, to name a few. Kane took the second-place team trophy as well as earned individually, six first-place trophies, one second-place trophy, three third-place trophies, and two fourth-place trophies. The JO wrestler’s will be in Shinglehouse Dec. 29.
The Kane Lady Wolves’ basketball team defeated a scrappy Port Allegany squad on Wednesday night in the Wolves’ Den. The Wolves used solid play from their post players to pull away in the second half and move to 4-1 on the season with the 60-36 win.
MT. JEWETT – The Mt. Jewett Borough Council voted 4-0 Wednesday to seek a grant to upgrade the East End Pump Station.
