Nearly 100 are in elementary summer school

June 27, 2012

Nearly 100 students are taking part in summer classes at the Kane Elementary School.
The “summer school” is for children who have completed classes from pre-kindergarten through fourth grade.
In a report at a meeting of the Kane School Board earlier this month, Elementary School Principal Linda Lorenzo said children “were invited to summer school based on academic needs.”
”Students will be working on targeted areas with the summer school staff,” she said. “Pre and post-assessments will track student progress and growth as a result of the summer school program.”
