Gannon prepares to offer college classes in Kane

Gannon University of Erie this fall will be offering college classes in Kane.
The classes will lead to a two-year Associate’s Degree in either business administration or humanities and social sciences (liberal arts).
Gannon is offering the classes through a “cooperative agreement” with the Education Consortium of the Upper Allegheny (ECUA).
The college classes will be held at the Kane Middle School on West Hemlock Avenue. The “computer lab” in the school will be one of classrooms used for the program.

Stella S. Bailey

Stella S. Bailey, 86, died July 23, 2012 in Boston, Mass. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary (Troha) Skerl of James City. She was married for 36 years to the late Robert Bailey; they resided in Washington, N.J. She was a bookkeeper and office manager for Burd Chevrolet & Oldsmobile in Washington, N.J. for 25 years and later served as a volunteer for Family Guidance Center in Washington, N.J. She moved to Phoebe Terrace in Allentown in 1999 and volunteered at Lehigh Valley Hospital for two years. 

Janice K. Aiello

Janice K. Aiello, 69, of 306 West Pine Avenue, Kane, died Wednesday afternoon, July 25, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
   Born April 19, 1943 in Ridgway, she was the daughter of Ray and Jeanette Berg Bouse.  On June 17, 1967 in Johnsonburg, she married Thomas M. Aiello, who survives.
   Mrs. Aiello worked as a registered nurse for forty-three years at the hospitals in St. Marys, Bradford and Kane, then was the Director of Nursing at Snyder Memorial in Marienville.
