Lady Wolves drops season opener against Bradford

The Kane Wolves’ fall sports season got under way on Monday afternoon at the Kane Country Club, when the Lady Wolves hosted the Bradford Lady Owls.
The home team dropped the match to the perennially tough Bradford team, but Kane head coach Nathan Smith has reason for optimism.
Senior Kyla Hoag carded her career-best round of 37 on her home course to lead the Lady Wolves. Hoag was followed by junior Ellie Tunall, who shot a solid round of 51, according to coach Smith.

Quotes being sought for repairs at Ludlow bridge

LUDLOW – Quotes from contractors are being sought for repairs at the South Hillside Avenue bridge in Ludlow.
According to a state-sanctioned report issued earlier this year, the bridge is considered a “high priority” for maintenance.
C.C. Johnson & Malhorta (CCJM), an engineering firm from Camp Hill, filed the report after inspecting the bridge that crosses Two Mile Run near the Ludlow Post Office.
The company inspects bridges under an agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
