Crusaders jump out to early lead, roll to win over Wolves

The Elk County Catholic Crusaders held the Kane Wolves to only 11 first half points in Monday’s game in the Wolves’ Den. The Wolves played a better second half with the two teams playing pretty evenly the rest of the way but the Crusaders left town with a 59-41 win.

Lady Crusaders hold on for 38-36 win over Kane Lady Wolves

The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders used a strong third quarter to outscore the Kane Lady Wolves by a 10-4 margin then played Kane even in the fourth quarter to hold on for a 38-36 victory.

Fire causes extensive damage at Kane house

A fire Monday evening caused extensive damage at a two-story house in Kane. Tim Holt, chief of the Kane Volunteer Fire Department, estimated damage at $65,000 to the house and contents. No injuries were reported.
