Kane Borough Council changes procedures

October 14, 2013

Due to the recent injuries to employees of the Kane Borough Streets Department, members of the Kane Borough Council made it easier for the department chairs to hire temporary or part-time employees in the event of an emergency. With the leaf pick-up season upon us, the chairman of the borough’s public works committee may hire part-time employees in conjunction with the borough office manager, Lori Feldbauer. Full-time employees would still have to be hired by the borough council.

BRADFORD – Ed Bernik, photographer for the newly published coffee table picture book “The Great Kinzua Bridge” will speak at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Oct. 15.

Kenneth A. "Wally" McCauley

Kenneth A. "Wally" McCauley, 64, of 130 Greeves St., diedFriday, Oct. 11, 2013 at his residence.
Born April 12, 1949, in Kane, he was a son of Kenneth A. and Joy L. Haese McCauley Sr.
Mr. McCauley was self-employed as an insurance underwriter.
He was a member of Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church and had served on the executive board at the Lutheran Home at Kane for many years and was very involved in fundraising for the Home. 
He enjoyed watching sports, talking politics and spending time with his granddaughter.
