Rosalia Salerno, 85, of Bradford, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at the Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
She was born Aug.17, 1927 in San Fratello, Italy, a daughter of the late Benedetto and Carmela Franchina Artino.
Mrs. Salerno immigrated to America in 1960 with her son. Her first sight of America was the Statue of Liberty, from the railing of a passenger ship, on a very cloudy and cold January day.
Donna L. Carlsson, 74, of Haycock Twp., Bucks County, formerly of Kane, passed away unexpectedlyÂ Sunday morning, March 3, 2013 in St. Lukeâ€™s Hospital, Bethlehem.
Born Nov. 10, 1938 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Fred and Edna Larson Wirth. She married the Rev. Dr. Andrew E. Carlsson, with whom she celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last August.
SHARON â€“ A pair of Kane wrestlers are in the regional semifinals after the first day of action at the Northwest Regional Championships at Sharon High School.

CLARION â€“ The fifth time wasnâ€™t a charm for the Kane Lady Wolves basketball team. Born June 8, 1927, in Frewsburg, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Bertel and Gladys Davidson Carlson.Â On May 15, 1948, at Moriah Lutheran Church in Ludlow, she married Hyle L. Russell who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1963.
