The Kane Lady Wolves softball team’s season came to a heartbreaking end on Monday when the Lady Wolves lost to Port Allegany in 12 innings on a close play at the plate.

Myrtle Cochran, 103, formerly of Kane, died Monday afternoon, May 20, 2013 at the Katy Memorial Hermann Hospital, Katy, Texas.
Born June 2, 1909 in Bradford, she was the daughter of Rupert C. and Irene O. Andrews Fuller. On Oct. 20, 1934, she married Raymond Peterson and moved to Kane, where she became active at the First Baptist Church, serving as Sunday school teacher, superintendent, deaconess, moderator, church secretary and various other positions with the women’s classes.
