RIDGWAY â€“ With North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission voting at last month's meeting to take out a nearly quarter of a million dollar line of credit needed to cover expenses like payroll, bills, and rents, the organization has kept a watchful eye on the governor's 2014 budget proposal to see what the future holds.

Ralph G. Faull, 82, of Mt. Jewett, passed away at UPMC Hamot on Monday, June 24, 2013 after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 21, 1930, in Karns City, he was a son of the late William Lee and Cornie Minteer Faull.Â On Oct. 27, 1961, at Nebo Chapel, he married Marguerite Magnuson who survives.
A 1948 graduate of Bradford High School, he then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948-1952.
Episcopalian by faith, Ralph was a member and lay reader at St. Margaretâ€™s Episcopal Church in Mt. Jewett.
LANTZ CORNERS â€“ Bids for the construction of a sewage collection system in the Lantz Corners area are much lower than expected.
As a result, monthly sewer bills reportedly will drop.
SMETHPORT â€“ McKean County Commissioners Joe DeMott and Al Pingie made another attempt Tuesday to abolish the position of county jury commissioner as of Dec. 31.

ST. MARYS â€“ Police have arrested a 20-year-old St. Marys man who authorities say is responsible for a pair of pipe bombs that were planted at two separate Elk County locations over the course of one week last month.
Theodore Hall and Alia Smith were crowned Prince and Princess of Kane on Saturday afternoon. The two won the contest sponsored by the Kane Chamber of Commerce out of a field of more than 20 adorable contestants. Both the Prince and Princess are four years old. The two were crowned at the festivities in the SMP parking lot.
The ribbon was cut Friday afternoon at the local State Farm office on Fraley Street to celebrate the grand opening. Steve Tunall is now the agent of the local office.
Mrs. Vicky Stillwagon Holman, 52, of Cherry Grove, passed away peacefully in UPMC Hamot Hospital, Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 7 a.m.
She was born Jan. 30, 1961 in Fayette County to the late Frank and Joyce Flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny Holman, of Cherry Grove; a son, Pike Stillwagon, of Cherry Grove; a step-son, Lee Stillwagon; a mother-in-law, Candice Holman; a father-in-law, Gary Holman; and a nephew, Bobby Carlson and wife Kristy.
In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her first husband, Dave Stillwagon (2001); and a son, Josh Stillwagon (2007).
Virginia D. Olson, 96,Â died Friday afternoon, June 21, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Kane where she had resided.Â Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc.
