JAMES CITY -- The driver of a vehicle that crashed Wednesday on Route 66 near James City died of natural causes.
Elk County Coroner Michelle Muccio of St. Marys said the male driver suffered an "apparent heart attack" and died "a natural death."
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader soccer team picked up their second win of the season on Wednesday afternoon as they defeated the visiting Kane Lady Wolves 4-2 in a match played at Benzinger Park.

Karen Ann Rothrock, 69, of Ludlow and Pittsburgh, died unexpectedly at Kane Community Hospital onÂ Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013.
Born Sept. 7, 1944, she was a daughter ofÂ the late James G. and Donna Jones Rothrock,Â who had made Ludlow their second home when Karen was a child.
Prior to retiring, Karen was a well-known and respected independent contractor to public television for development of documentaries.
Tom Kase will be the only candidate on the ballot Nov. 5 for a two-seat seat on the Kane Borough Council.
The McKean County Republican Committee last week named Kase as its nominee for the position vacated by Councilman Bill Tunall.
Claire Ann Depto of 12 High St., Ludlow, has announced her intention to run as a write-in candidate for a seat on the Kane School Board in the Nov. 5 election.
A 1971 graduate of Kane High School, Depto has performed secretarial work for the school district for over 30 years.

PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” A Punxsutawney man has been arrested in connection with the death of the man whose body parts were found in Mahoning Creek in the village of Hamilton in Perry Township on Sunday afternoon.
The St. Marys Dutchmen boysâ€™ soccer team dominated a weary Kane team on Tuesday afternoon on the Wolvesâ€™ home field. The Dutchmen scored twice in the first 25 minutes and added three more second half goals to leave McKean County with the 5-0 win.
RIDGWAY â€“ The Lady Elkers scored the first three points of the match, two points coming on Dani Shirey tips. Ridgway scored three straight points on two Kane errors and a Mandie Leithner kill. After the teams split the next four points, the Lady Wolves and Lady Elkers exchanged 3-0 runs to leave Ridgway up 11-7. At 15-11, the Lady Elkers scored three straight points on a Leithner kill and two Gabby Wolff aces which left Ridgway ahead 18-11. Kane cut the margin to 21-17 and 24-20 but a hit out of bounds ultimately gave Ridgway the first set, 25-21.
William Howard Blankenship, 79, of Ludlow, died on Monday morning, Sept. 16, 2013, at the Warren General Hospital with his loving family singing praises by his side.
William, known to many as Bill, was born Sept. 18, 1933, to the late OrlaÂ and Carrie Morton Blankenship in Gauley Bridge, W. Va.Â He married his wife, Barbara Bragg, in 1952, in Gauley Bridge where the two of them began their life together.Â The couple made their move to Kinzua in 1959, then to Ludlow, where they finished raising their large family of 16.
