Cody Blankenship (30-1, Northwest champion) of Kane opens action Thursday against Stone Kepple (34-12, Southwest Region, fourth place) of Derry Area in the first round of the PIAA Individual Wrestling championships. If Blankenship wins his first-round match, he will take on either Dante Albanese (33-7, Southeast runner-up) or Tom Opdenhoff (32-6, Southwest third place) in the quarterfinals set for Friday morning.Â
Mary and Scott Dinger's three children enjoy the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner at the Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church on Greeves Street in Kane. The Northwestern Pennsylvania Synodical Lutheran Men in Mission sponsors the fund.
The Success For All (SFA) educational program is offered in Kane and more than 1,000 other schools in the U.S.
When the program was featured last month on a national internet radio show, the host had just one school representative-- Kane Elementary School Principal Linda Lorenzo.
