KAIDC plans to develop Kane Magnetics complex

The Kane Area Industrial Development Corporation (KAIDC) plans to develop the former Kane Magnetics complex at 700 Elk Ave.
The first step in utilizing the buildings for industrial development calls for a cleanup of contaminated groundwater at the 17-acre site.

Blankenship and DeLong advance to quarterfinals

HERSHEY – Kane's two representatives at the PIAA Championship Tournament had a great start on Thursday at Hershey's Giant Center.
Seniors Cody Blankenship and Evan DeLong cruised to opening round wins yesterday morning, advancing to this morning's quarterfinals.

Glenda R. Causer, 77, of 404 Dewey Ave., Hazel Hurst, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 surrounded by her family at Kane Community Hospital.
Born April 14, 1936, in Shawmut, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Martha Pontious Himes. On Jan. 29, 1955, she married Claude Causer Jr., who survives.
Glenda was employed by the Lutheran Home at Kane before her retirement. She was a lifelong member of the Hazel Hurst United Methodist Church.
