Bill Weborg, born Sept. 16, 1948 in Kane, died Saturday, March 29, 2014.
Among Bill Weborgâs many contributions to local architecture are the Erie Cruise Boat Terminal and Lakeshore Country Club, two designs for which he received national recognition from the American Institute of Architects.

WILCOX â For one young couple living in Wilcox, months old wounds from every parentsâ worst nightmare may be beginning to heal.
The Kane girlsâ track and field team made their annual trip south to Saturdayâs Altoona Igloo Invitational. The Kane teams were scheduled to open their season on Tuesday, but the home meet against Northern Potter was postponed until this week, making Saturday the first outdoor competition of the year.
The Kane boysâ track team started off the 2014 well with some solid performances at Saturdayâs Altoona Igloo Invitational. The team was led on the track by Chris Hunt, Nate Moore, Bailey Colson, Hunter Yasurek and Chris Udovich, according to coach Tom Cecchetti. All four Kane relay teams placed in the invitational.
Kane natives and longtime friends Sam Cummings Jr. and Tom Jones are embarking on a joint business venture-- the first of its kind in the area.
CLARION â Kane's Jeff Kocjancic and Camryn Cummings have been recognized as part of the All American Awards and Engraving/D9sports.com All-District 9 boys and girls basketball awards and teams.
Kocjancic was named third team with an average of 15 points-per-game.
Cummings was named co-rookie of the year along with Brookville's Hali Olson.
Having the same name as a famous clown has caused Ronald McDonald of Kane to bear the brunt of many jokes over the years.
