Evan DeLong signs to wrestle for Clarion

What little boys dream of… one little boy had a dream of greatness, of being a champion.
As the course of this little boy’s childhood took shape that’s exactly what happened from junior wrestling to junior hight and finally, a state champion was crown. Evan Delong started this course over 10 years ago and now as he prepares to advance to live another part of this dream, a collegiate wrestler for the Division I Clarion Eagles. Evan is looking forward to this phase in his life.

We are now in my favorite season of the year, spring. From a nature photographer’s standpoint, this is the best and most exciting time to get outdoors with a camera. Spring migrations, nesting, denning and most notability the increased activity of all wildlife, brings any nature photographer out of hibernation. This spring in particular I am anxious to get out and about after nursing a bad foot for a few weeks this winter. My signs of spring are the arrivals of the red-winged blackbirds and turkey vultures.

KARE plans to demolish fire-damaged building

Wolves baseball team drops doubleheader to Cardinals

The Kane Wolves lost both ends of a doubleheader to DuBois Central Catholic on Monday at Pat Santilli Field. The Wolves, who played two games on Saturday, lost 14-4 in the opener and 12-6 in the nightcap.
The first game was a continuation of a game that began in mid-April. Monday’s contest began with Jeff Kocjancic on second base with one out. DCC starting pitcher Phil Myers, the team’s ace, kept the Wolves off the scoreboard in his three innings on the mound.
