The Kane Middle School ranks among the elite schools in the nation.
This point came across loud and clear Wednesday at a celebration to honor the middle school for its selection as one of the â€śSchools To Watch in Pennsylvania.â€ť
Itâ€™s one of the more unusual pieces of sports memorabilia in the world. Itâ€™s also one of the rarest of all: a baseball signed by a saint.
The Kane Boysâ€™ Track and Field team put the finishing touches on an undefeated dual meet season with victories over Elk County Catholic (105-51) and Johnsonburg (105-25) on Tuesday afternoon in St Marys.
The family of George Kelley will be receiving friends from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of the Mt. Jewett United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial, with military honors accorded, will follow at McKean Memorial Park.
Mr. Kelley died Nov. 25, 2013.
