Hearing is slated for driver in 6-fatality crash

SMETHPORT – A preliminary hearing for the alleged drug-influenced driver in a six-fatality traffic accident is tentatively scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27 before Kane District Court Judge Dave Engman.

Kane police chief case still pending

SMETHPORT – Suspended Kane Police Chief Brian Hillard will have another chance to enter a plea to charges of falsifying firearms training records for three Kane police officers.
Hillard was scheduled to enter a plea Thursday in McKean County Court. The court appearance has been continued to a later date not yet specified.

Wolves roll over Gators to improve to 8-1

The Kane Wolves wrestling team were firing on all cylinders on Thursday night in the Wolves’ Den.
Kane coach Mike Swartwood’s Wolves avenged last year’s loss to Port Allegany with a dominating 61-10 win over the Gators.

School Book Fair is under way
