After completing her first Boston Marathon, St. Marys resident Molly Quesenberry had a strong feeling that she wanted to see her family as soon as possible.

Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass., a student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and suspect in Monday's Boston Marathon bombings, local law enforcement officials on Friday shared their thoughts with the search and the differences in such practices in the immediate area.
Anyone out there who follows my columns might think that Iâ€™m a retired guy with not a care in the world; Â traveling to exotic locations, spending countless hours in the forests, tracking down wildlife and birdlife in the pursuit of that perfect photograph. It does sound like that even to me, but the truth is I still work, and my photography is just a very enjoyable hobby. JAMES CITY â€“ It has been a whirlwind couple of months for James Cityâ€™s Brenda Emer. Back in mid-February, she found out that she would not be able to start the clinical trial she was anticipating. Brenda went to Pittsburgh a week before the trial was set to start for a scan and a liver biopsy. Unfortunately, the scan showed a brain tumor.
Through good times and bad, Kane residents have shown pride in their community.
ERIE â€“ A St. Marys man charged with siphoning off a half-million dollars from a local animal shelter and rescue as well as clients of his own financial service companies, pleaded guilty to charges of wire fraud and money laundering Thursday in an Erie federal court.
Kane girlsâ€™ track and field coach Jim Sirianni left five of his key athletes behind in Kane while the rest of the team traveled to the county seat to take on the Hubbers on Tuesday. The Lady Wolves came up on the short end of the team score but a number of Kane track ladies came through with stellar performances.
A good team effort led the Kane boysâ€™ track and field team to a win over the Hubbers in Smethport on Tuesday. Chris Udovich and Bailey Colson were quadruple winners for the Wolves, while Jonah Smith tripled. Nate Moore, Jon Gelsick and Chris Cummings were each double winners for Kane and came through with some solid performances.
HAZEL HURST â€“ The long-awaited Lantz Corners sewer project already is running behind a timetable announced last fall.
