The Annual Soup and Pie Lunch at the Friends' Memorial Public Library had a huge turnout. Volunteers were serving pies and there were plenty of homemade baked goods for the annual Bake Sale.
The Kane Cheerleading Club attended Galaxy's Winter Blast Competition at the Jamestown Community College Physical Education Complex in Jamestown, N.Y. and came home as the Scholastic Grand Champions. On their way to the overall competition win, they placed first in the Non-Tumble Division as well as placing first in the Varsity Tumble Division.

CLARION â The Kane Lady Wolves defeated Redbank Valley on Friday night at Clarion High School in the District 9 AA semifinals by a score of 53-39. The Lady Wolves overcame the loss of leading scorer and rebounder, Kaila Jamerson, who went down with a knee injury just 28 seconds into the game.
Kane wrestling coach Mike Swartwood has eight wrestlers still in the mix to advance to next weekâs Northwest Regional Tournament. Four Wolves still have the opportunity to claim a district title, earning a spot in this morningâs semifinals.
Sierra Lister is Miss Kane High for 2013.
She was crowned Friday during a student assembly at the Kane High School auditorium.

The Kane Chamber of Commerce announced the award-winners Thursday evening at its annual banquet at the Kane Fire Hall.
More than 100 attended the dinner prepared and served by members of the Kane Volunteer Fire Department. The Ladies Auxiliary for the fire department prepared dessert.
