Emma J. Carlson, 84, of 420 1/2 Poplar St., died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Kane Community Hospital.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc.
SMETHPORT â€“ Julie Sue Graham-Olson, 54, has been sentenced to McKean County Jail for using Hamlin Township money as her own while serving as the townshipâ€™s secretary-treasurer for nearly four years.
The proposed Kane school budget for 2014-15 carries a slight tax increase.

Ed Moran is the greatest male track athlete in the history of Kane Area High School. He graduated with the Kane High School Class of 1955. At the high school state championship meet, Ed placed second in the mile in 1953, placed third in the mile in 1954 and took fifth in the 880-yard run in his senior year of 1955.
A fire early Wednesday damaged a vacant house on Jo Jo Road in Wetmore Township.

Isabelle Lucille Carlson, 88, of 9716 Rte. 6, died early Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
She was born Feb. 26, 1926 in Kane, to the late David and Florence Johnson Bloomquist.Â On March 15, 1943, she eloped and married the love of her life, Richard W. Carlson, who survives.
Issy was a beloved wife of 17 years and was a great homemaker who sold Dutchmaid Clothing for years. She was a member and a lay minister for many years at St. John's Episcopal Church in Kane.
