Kane clinched a spot in the AML championship game with a 27-18 win over Ridgway Friday night at Paul R. Miller Stadium to move to 8-0 on the season.
Members of the Kane and Mt. Jewett Police Departments sponsored a Stranger Danger assembly to the students of the Kane Elementary School on Friday. Co-Principal Jay Israel introduced Mt. Jewett Chief of Police Steve Hale, who made the presentation to the students.

Gloria A. Barber, 83, of Mt. Jewett, died at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 after a brief illness.
The former Gloria Ann Peters was born Nov. 4, 1929, the daughter of George and Helen Kalinowski Peters.Â On Nov. 22, 1952, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mt. Jewett, she married Robert W. Barber who preceded her in death on July 12, 2011.
A graduate of Mt. Jewett Senior High School, Class of 1947, she was employed at the former Swanson Triangle Grocery Store and Temple Beauty Aids.
Wilma I. Arnold, 78, of 106 E.L. Day Drive, Westline, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at Lakeview Senior Care and Living Center in Smethport.
Born Nov. 12, 1934, in Westline, she was a daughter ofÂ the late Martin and Margauretta Young Dann.Â On Sept. 12, 1952, in Westline, she married Robert D. Arnold Sr. who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Arnold was a psychiatric aide at Warren State Hospital for 28 years retiring in 2000.
Local filmmaker Sean Perry takes his latest step in his professional journey on Saturday night with the premiere of his latest film, "Alive and Unburied." This will be the fourth premiere Perry has held in his career, with the latest being last yearâ€™s "Diamonds are a Conâ€™s Best Friend."
The Kane Wolves are now 7-0 on the season but still need a win over Ridgway this evening to clinch the AML South Title. The Wolves will be celebrating Senior Recognition prior to the game, so look for Kane coach Todd Silfies' squad to be ready to play tonight.
The Kane Wolves won the first two sets of Thursday nightâ€™s match with Ridgway rather easily, then had to struggle to finish out the match in the third set in the Wolvesâ€™ Den. The Lady Wolves avenged their four-set loss to the Lady Elkers on their home court earlier in the season with a three-game sweep with scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 28-26.
The Kane boysâ€™ soccer team lost their final game of the season by a 7-2 score at home on Thursday. The Raiders jumped out to a 5-0 lead with four minutes left in the first half but Kane coach Ernie Chamberlainâ€™s Wolves never gave up.
The Kane girlsâ€™ soccer team lost their final game of the season on Wednesday to a deep Brookville team in the Lady Wolvesâ€™ Senior Recognition game.
