A new date will be set for a preliminary hearing for the alleged drug-influenced driver in a six-fatality traffic accident last Aug. 31 near Lantz Corners.
The hearing for Kathleen S. "Kathy" Douglas, 37, of Kane had been scheduled for Monday before Kane District Court Judge Dave Engman.
The hearing will not be held as scheduled, it was learned Wednesday. A new date is pending.
RIDGWAY â€“ The PHARE fund appears to be gaining its footing as Marcellus Shale regions are seeing yearly allocations for local distribution.
In 2012, the base allocation for PHARE [Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement] was $2.5 million; for 2013 and beyond, the allocation has doubled.

David Â M. Nelson, age 50, of Kane, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.
Born Jan. 14, 1964 in Warren, he was the son of Paul August and Patricia Marie Nelson.Â
He is survived by his beloved brother, Paul A. Nelson; a dear nephew, Charles Greenman; a dear friend, Kathy Mawns.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Marie Nelson.
David enjoyed reading and spending time with his friends.Â

Winnie M. Cecchetti, 80, of 90 Reigel Rd., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport.
Born July 24, 1933, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Besecker Kraft.Â On Aug. 23, 1952, in Kane, she married Sandy Cecchetti who preceded her in death.
Winnie, a homemaker, was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Ellen T. Bifano, 94, of 100 High Point Dr., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Kane Community Hospital.
