Larry Grant Johnson, 65, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Born Oct. 24, 1948 in Kane, he was the son of the late Howard Leroy Johnson and Cora Genevieve Douglas Johnson.
Larry graduated from Smethport High School, and continued his studies for two years at Clackamus College. He excelled in his profession as truck driver for Walmart for over 20 years. When not on the road, he enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time with his family and pets in their log cabin in the woods.

Bill Hagerty, the executive director of the Erie-based non-profit company, made an appeal Monday to the Kane Borough Council to subsidize the ambulance service with a proposed $50,000 annual allocation.
HAZEL HURST â€“ The Hamlin Township Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 Monday to suspend the township secretary-treasurer.
Supervisors Don Compton, Joni Britton and Guy Raught took the anticipated action since secretary-treasurer Julie Graham-Olson is facing four felonies. She is accused of receiving between $50,000 and $100,000 in township money for personal use. She is free on bail pending a preliminary hearing.
HAMILTON TWP. â€“ The Hamilton Township supervisors appointed Ludlow resident Rodney Johnson as tax collector for the township during Mondayâ€™s regular monthly meeting, replacing the recently resigned Claire Ann Depto. Depto, who held the position for 13 years, was re-elected to the position during Novemberâ€™s election, but resigned the post when she also was elected as a director of the Kane School Board.
The 2013 Kane Wolves football team was honored at the Kane Quarterback Club's end of the season banquet on Sunday. Each member of the undefeated Wolves received a jacket with their number embroidered on the sleeve from the club. The Kane Wolves wrestling team opened their season on Friday afternoon in Hermitage, and when the weekend was over, they came away as champions of the Hickory Tournament for the second straight year. Coach Mike Swartwoodâ€™s Wolves finished with 178.5 points, narrowly outdistancing D9 rival Smethport, who had 164.5 points. Rounding out the top five of the 18 team field were Jamestown, Ridgway and Maplewood.
ST. MARYS â€“ The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader basketball team used a 13-2 advantage in the third quarter to defeat the Kane Lady Wolves by a 55-45 score Monday night at the ECCHS gym.
The score was tied at 24 at the half. The third period saw Elk outscore Kane 13-2 to open a 37-26 lead with eight minutes remaining. In the final quarter the Lady Wolves outscored the Lady Crusaders 19-18 but just were not able to overcome the third quarter difference.
