The Kane softball team dropped a 13-10 decision to the Sheffield Lady Wolverines on Wednesday afternoon in Sheffield.
Virgil C. Nelson, 81, of 15 Church St., Ludlow, died Thursday afternoon, May 8, 2014 in the Kane Community Hospital. Arrangements, in the care of the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. are incomplete and will be announced.

The Kane Wolves baseball team defeated the Johnsonburg Rams 11-7 on Tuesday at Pat Santilli Field. The win was the first of the season for the Wolves, who were playing in only their second home game of 2014.
