Kane Eagles aids Food Pantry

The Rev. Philip Pinczewski (left), chairman of the board for the Kane Food Pantry, accepts a check for $500 from Barb Gadley-Cheeks (right), secretary of the Kane Eagles Club. The Eagles Club also has donated non-perishable items to the Food Pantry. Rev. Pinczewski is pastor of the St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane. The Food Pantry is located in the basement of the church rectory at Chase and Haines streets.

Kane Magnetics among parcels on Judicial Sale list

SMETHPORT – The defunct Kane Magnetics plant on Elk Avenue is among 123 properties up for auction Monday at the McKean County Judicial Sale.
Kathy Roche, director of the county Tax Claim Bureau, said the minimum bids for the properties sold at the Judicial Sale cover only the “costs” associated with preparing for the event.
