Perfect weather prevails for KARE For Kane Day

May 11, 2012

Sunny skies and mild temperatures prevailed Friday for the second annual KARE For Kane Day.
An estimated 450 volunteers took part in the one-day project to beautify the community. The total is a huge increase over the first event in 2011.
“It’s going really well,” Melanie Clabaugh said Friday as she greeted volunteers at the Kane Area Community Center on Fraley Street.
“Everyone seems to be excited and the projects are getting done,” she said.
