Some Kane Area School District administrators will be switching buildings and duties under a staff realignment plan that goes into effect July 1.
Dr. Maryann Anderson, superintendent of the school district, conceived the plan, which she said would “re-energize the professional staff.”
She said Monday that the nine-member school board has endorsed her plan following discussions at private meetings on personnel issues.
“Changes are good,” Anderson said, “and they will help us move forward to keep our district in a good position.”
Here is a summary of the changes:
MT. JEWETT – A dispute between the Mt. Jewett Borough Council and the defunct Mt. Jewett Borough Water Authority is blocking the sale of a building for a local business.
Until this dispute is resolved, the borough agreed Monday to lease the building at 5 W. Main St. to Mt. Jewett residents Mike and Vera West.
Earlier this year, the Wests submitted a high bid of $29,000 to purchase the vacant building once planned as the future home for the water authority.
