Kane plans to use community service workers

September 10, 2012

Offenders who have been sentenced to perform community service soon will be working on more projects for the borough of Kane.
“It’s a win-win situation,” Mike Barnard said Monday in explaining the county community service program. He said the offenders are given the opportunity to complete their community service hours, while the borough will receive “free workers.”
Barnard, the McKean County community service coordinator, discussed the program at a meeting of the Kane Borough Council.
