Kane school administrators are planning to develop and implement strategies to increase parent involvement in the education of their children.
One of the proposed initiatives calls for the creation of a "parent advisory committee" to work with school officials.
Ideas for increasing parent involvement in Kane schools were discussed Thursday at a meeting of the school board's Curriculum Committee.
Dr. Maryann Anderson, superintendent of the Kane Area School District, said "we're trying to create more interest" among parents.
