SMETHPORT â€“ A Ludlow man has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of growing marijuana at his residence at 33 Mackann Ln.
Todd Michael Haight, 46, entered the plea Thursday before McKean County Court President Judge John Pavlock.
Haight remains free on $10,000 (unsecured) bail pending his sentencing set for Jan. 9 in county court.

GETTYSBURG â€“ Governor Tom Corbett and First Lady Susan Corbett were in Gettysburg Tuesday to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, originally presented by Abraham Lincoln on Nov. 19, 1863.
The Corbetts were joined by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia where they laid a wreath at Soldiersâ€™ National Ceremony and the governor spoke as part of the official Dedication Day observance. Dedication Day has honored the Gettysburg Address each year since 1938, with attendance this year for the 150th anniversary estimated at close to 10,000 people.
The Kane Borough Sewer Authority is considering an increase in the monthly sewer rate for its 2,078 customers in the borough and sections of Wetmore Township.
The amount of the rate increase still is undecided.
Dave "Chip" Peterson, chairman of the five-member authority, proposed a 10 percent increase Monday at the board's meeting at the borough building.
HAZEL HURST â€“ Installation of sewer lines is well underway for the long-awaited Lantz Corners sewer district in the western end of Hamlin Township.

Following a Friday morning preliminary hearing Michael J. Stephanic Jr., 44, of St. Marys, will be held over for trial on charges he allegedly shot and killed June Talmadge, 48, during a Sept. 3 incident in the parking lot of Eastern Sintered Alloys.
SMETHPORT â€“ Commissioner Cliff Lane of Turtlepoint, McKean County, recently added the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts (PACD) to his resume. Lane joined the group as the Northwest Region Director of the statewide association earlier this month.
