January 8th
JOHNSONBURG - Authorities are on the lookout for a man who robbed a Johnsonburg bank at gunpoint Tuesday.
The Kane Volunteer Fire Department held its annual election Tuesday at the fire hall on Poplar Street.
According to reports, there was an armed robbery at the CNB Bank located along Market Street in Johnsonburg earlier this afternoon. The actor is believed to be a white male of unknown age who is allegedly wearing a gray hoodie, ski mask, and a red bandanna across his face. He is also believed to have a black handgun in his possession and was last seen traveling on foot along the "Avenues" headed towards Bendigo Road. Anyone encountering the actor should not approach him and instead should call 9-1-1. Check back for additional information as it becomes available.

JAMES CITY – Elk County President Judge Richard Masson may be asked to select a new supervisor for Highland Township.
The Wetmore Township supervisors met on Monday evening for their annual reorganizational meeting, along with their regular monthly meeting.
SMETHPORT – McKean County Commissioner Joseph DeMott will serve as the county's "voting member" on the board for a statewide county health consortium.
January 6th
The Ford Motor Company has donated $500 to the Kane Area United Fund, which aids 19 community-service programs that serve Kane area residents.
January 4th
The Kane Elementary School implemented the nationally-acclaimed "Success For All" (SFA) program last year in an effort to improve student reading skills.
