RIDGWAY – A 12-member jury after two hours of deliberation acquitted Francis Anthony Milliard, 55, of Ridgway, on 12 counts of arson, insurance fraud, and related offenses stemming from a Dec. 4, 2008 fire at his 115 First Ave. property in Johnsonburg. Milliard said he "absolutely [felt] vindicated by the verdict" as he has steadfastly maintained his innocence since his arrest and incarceration in July of 2012.
RIDGWAY - The jury trial of Francis Anthony Milliard, 55, of Ridgway, on charges of arson and related offenses as well as insurance fraud stemming from a Dec. 4, 2008 fire at a Johnsonburg property owned by him is headed into its third and final day.

PUNXSUTAWNEY — It could be an all-time record crowd with Groundhog Day returning to the weekend for the first time in a number of years for the 127th-annual trek to Gobbler’s Knob.
"The all-time record was approximately 33,000 people, back when it was last held on a weekend," said Bill Deeley, president of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club Inner Circle.
