With insurance, Kane skate/bike ramps to re-open

The wooden skate/bike ramps at Glenwood Park in Kane are expected to re-open once an insurance contract is finalized.
The Kane Borough Council voted 5-0 Monday to accept a quote of $12,375 for annual insurance for the youth facility. 

Sunday crowd sets record at Kinzua Bridge festival

Making apple cider at Fall Festival

Maggie Cunningham, the 6-year-old daughter of Stephanie Cunningham of Weedville, turns the press Sunday to make apple cider at the Kinzua Bridge State Park "Fall Festival." The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) staffed the cider-making booth at the festival.

Heindls donate to DRMC

DuBois Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Penn Highlands Healthcare, recently received its largest donation as Denny and Rose Heindl of Ridgway pledged a gift of $300,000 over three years for The Lung Center at DRMC West.

Susan Grolemund, a retired Kane teacher, has announced her intention to run as a write-in candidate for a seat on the nine-member Kane School Board.
