Lantz Corners sewer bids are lower than expected

LANTZ CORNERS – Bids for the construction of a sewage collection system in the Lantz Corners area are much lower than expected.
As a result, monthly sewer bills reportedly will drop.

ST. MARYS – Police have arrested a 20-year-old St. Marys man who authorities say is responsible for a pair of pipe bombs that were planted at two separate Elk County locations over the course of one week last month.

Prince and Princess at Art in the Wilds

Theodore Hall and Alia Smith were crowned Prince and Princess of Kane on Saturday afternoon. The two won the contest sponsored by the Kane Chamber of Commerce out of a field of more than 20 adorable contestants. Both the Prince and Princess are four years old. The two were crowned at the festivities in the SMP parking lot.

State Farm holds ribbon-cutting

The ribbon was cut Friday afternoon at the local State Farm office on Fraley Street to celebrate the grand opening. Steve Tunall is now the agent of the local office.
