A pickup truck, westbound on Route 6 near Campbelltown Road, left the north side of the highway and struck and destroyed this sign at the Mt. Jewett Health Center building on Monday.

Trash recycling is returning to Kane on a limited basis for now on private property.
A collection site for cardboard now is located at the Bednar Metals property on Commons Alley.

The Kane School Board voted 8-0 Thursday to approve a tentative 2013-14 budget that carries a .35-mill increase in the property tax rate.

Recycling bins are returning to Wetmore Township.
Supervisors Steve Dyne, Bill Ryding and Elaine Bodistow agreed Tuesday to permit Casella Waste Management to place four "zero-sort" recycling bins at the rear of the township building on Spring Street in East Kane.
