Rehearsals are underway for "Bye Bye Birdie"-- the Kane High School musical to be presented next month.
Evening performances at 7 p.m. are planned for Thursday, March 20, Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22. A matinee is planned for Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m.
The criminal case against a Kane woman linked with a horrific six-fatality crash Aug. 31 is headed to McKean County Court.

SMETHPORT â€“ Suspended Kane Borough Police Chief Brian Hillard will be performing a year of community service under a sentence he accepted Monday in McKean County Court.
Hillard, 43, was charged last August with two counts of falsifying state documents between February 2011 and July in his role as a certified firearms instructor.
He reportedly certified that three Kane officers had completed mandatory state firearms training when, in fact, they had not.

We're a pretty small town, and most places my reporters or I go, we're familiar faces who don't need a specific credential to show it. But today? Well, today is different.
A Ridgway logger was injured Friday in a work-related accident in the Allegheny National Forest near Kane.
