WETMORE TWP. â€“ A Wilcox man died Tuesday morning after his vehicle flipped on state Route 6 in Wetmore Township.

A week after voting to furlough the two-man crew, the Hamlin Township Board of Supervisors acted at a special meeting Monday to reinstate workers Rick Keesler and Terry Morgan.
â€¨Donations of new sneakers, socks and backpacks may be dropped off at the Kane Area Community Center Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.Â
Parents who pick up children from the Kane Elementary School and Kane Middle School will be directed to a new site in the coming school year.
JOHNSONBURG â€“ With the cause of Friday's marathon fire at Domtar paper mill in Johnsonburg still unknown, investigators will have even more hurdles to contend with as the tunnel where the fire reportedly originated is still deemed unsafe.
Workers install a new roof at the Tabor Lutheran Church on Greeves Street in Kane. Hoffman Roofing of Ridgway is the contractor for the project.
JOHNSONBURG â€“ A large fire broke out early Friday afternoon in a tunnel beneath the chip yard at Domtar paper mill in Johnsonburg. As of press time Friday night, the fire was still burning.
According to Craig Timm, a media relations representative for Domtar, the fire broke out in the wood chip conveyor system.
