Several criminal cases have been filed in Kane District Court.
Information on the following cases is based on court documents.Â
*Charles Wayne Gee, 53, of Addison, N.Y. is charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.
State Police Trooper Andy Dalton placed the charges on Route 6 near Route 146 in Hamlin Township.
A test determined Geeâ€™s blood alcohol content (BAC) to be .133 percent.
Investigators have located multiple points of origin in an early morning blaze which heavily damaged a commercial building Friday in St. Marys.
Fire companies from across Elk County responded to 590 S. St. Marys St. in St. Marys throughout the morning.
The fire has been determined to be incendiary in nature according to the Ridgway-based state police. St. Marys City Police are assisting with the investigation which is currently ongoing.
The structure sustained damages estimated in excess of $500,000. It is currently owned by Chris W. Pistner, 47, of St. Marys.

JOHNSONBURG â€“ A preliminary hearing was held before Magisterial District Judge George A. "Tony" King of Johnsonburg Wednesday in the case of Robert William Duck, 36, of Kane.
"He said he was going to kill himself and that he wanted to cut my head off and put it on a stake," said the victim, Annette Peterson of James City during her testimony.
Duck was held for county court on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief for a Dec. 23, 2014 incident, in which he allegedly followed Peterson around the house with a knife and prevented her from leaving.

EMPORIUM â€“ Authorities are still investigating the origin of a fire that spread through four apartment units early Tuesday morning in a West 4th Street house in Emporium.
Initial reports indicated smoke and flames showing at 234 W. 4th St. as Cameron County 14 (Emporium Fire Department), Emporium Ambulance, and St. Marys Ambulance were called out shortly before 3 a.m.

Kane native U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Mike Johnston presented King David Post 1132 VFW with a flag that was flown over his base in Afghanistan in recognition of their support for area service members.
Lt. Col. Johnston and his wife, Jennifer, also a Kane native, presented the flag along with a corresponding certificate to VFW officials and volunteers on Saturday morning.

A home at 5880 Route 66 suffered extensive damage in a fire early Christmas morning. Kane Volunteer firefighters were called out to the fire at 1:15 am Christmas and were on the scene for approximately two hours.
The homeowner, Lee Baum, was home at the time of the fire but was not injured, according to Kane Volunteer Fire Department Chief Tim Holt. Chief Holt and a state fire marshal were at the scene late Christmas morning and ruled the fire accidental.
