Kane area municipalities have been advised to prepare applications for the next round of funding under the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
"If you have a potential project, now is the best time to get started on meeting the program requirements," Gay DeGolier said in a recent letter to Kane area municipalities. She is the community development coordinator for the McKean County Redevelopment and Housing Authority.

LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP â The Bradford Regional Airport Authority celebrated the Wednesday birthday of âinterimâ airport director Alicia Dankesreiter of Wilcox by setting her annual salary at $62,000, retroactive to Sept. 24.
The authority last month named Dankesreiter as the âinterimâ director after firing Tom Frungillo of Allegany, N.Y. The reasons for the dismissal have not been made public.
