The St. Marys Little League Softball senior league all stars defeated Plains 4-3 Monday afternoon to win the state championship at Ber-Vaughn Park in Berwick.

Father Phil's cat Felix is one of the 50 pets vying for one of the 12 coveted spots on the 2014 SPCA calendar. During a hot weekend in Virginia Beach, the Studio K Elite Competition Team set the stage on fire with their talent. Bringing home 11 trophies, including eight first-place wins, the Studio K Elites represented McKean and Elk County with pride. Team members range in age from 10 through 18 and come from Kane, St. Marys and Wilcox.
Like most young engaged couples, Ben Marconi and Katie Swajkoski wanted to have a special wedding day. While they originally planned a big wedding with lots of out-of-town relatives, it didnâ€™t work out that way for the couple from Boise, Idaho.

A week after voting to furlough the two-man crew, the Hamlin Township Board of Supervisors acted at a special meeting Monday to reinstate workers Rick Keesler and Terry Morgan.
