Board votes 6-3 for longer school day in Kane

The Kane school day will be longer for students when classes resume Aug. 27.
The Kane School Board voted 6-3 Thursday to approve an "administrative plan" to lengthen the school day to provide more time for remedial work and "enrichment" programs.

The two major issues concerning the bulk of the audience were the extension of the school day and the possible disciplinary action against two school district employees.
