The Community Collaborative to Improve Health Care welcomed St. Marys Police Officers Gregg McManus and Anthony Pistner to their January meeting for a presentation on the rising abuse of bath salts in our area.
SMETHPORT â€“ A preliminary hearing for the alleged drug-influenced driver in a six-fatality traffic accident is tentatively scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27 before Kane District Court Judge Dave Engman.
HAZEL HURST â€“ The former secretary-treasurer for Hamlin Township is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on charges linked with the alleged theft of township money.
SMETHPORT â€“ Suspended Kane Police Chief Brian Hillard will have another chance to enter a plea to charges of falsifying firearms training records for three Kane police officers.
Hillard was scheduled to enter a plea Thursday in McKean County Court. The court appearance has been continued to a later date not yet specified.
JAMES CITY â€“ The Highland Township Board of Supervisors has yet to officially challenge the payment of a pension to Charlie Vaughn.
The Parents-Teachers Organization (PTO) at the Kane Elementary School is holding its annual Book Fair in the elementary/middle school library.
