SMETHPORT â McKean County Commissioners Joe DeMott and Al Pingie made another attempt Tuesday to abolish the position of county jury commissioner as of Dec. 31.
ST. MARYS â Police have arrested a 20-year-old St. Marys man who authorities say is responsible for a pair of pipe bombs that were planted at two separate Elk County locations over the course of one week last month.
Theodore Hall and Alia Smith were crowned Prince and Princess of Kane on Saturday afternoon. The two won the contest sponsored by the Kane Chamber of Commerce out of a field of more than 20 adorable contestants. Both the Prince and Princess are four years old. The two were crowned at the festivities in the SMP parking lot.
The ribbon was cut Friday afternoon at the local State Farm office on Fraley Street to celebrate the grand opening. Steve Tunall is now the agent of the local office.
