Lloyd R. McAllen, 92, formerly of Lantz Corners, then Central Towers in Kane, died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 15, 2011, at the Bradford Manor.
Born June 17, 1919 in Kane, he was the son of Daniel W. and Ruth N. Becker McAllen. On Feb. 28, 1948, he married Dolores A. "Dee" Mitsch, who survives.
After graduating from Kane Area Schools in 1938, Mr. McAllen served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific-Philippine Liberation, and was awarded five medals and the Purple Heart.Â
