James J. “Jim” Salvamoser, 71, of 349 Kinzua Avenue, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011.
Born Jan. 9, 1940, in Kane, he was a son of Francis “Frank” and Julia Powley Salvamoser. On Aug. 26, 1961, in Mt. Jewett, he married Marjorie Kimbrough who survives. Jim and Margie recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Ruth L. Landfair, 92, of 103 High Point Dr., died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 21, 1919, in New Alexandria, she was a daughter of John H. and Laura Taylor Gallagher. On July 7, 1941, in West Virginia, she married Harry W. Landfair who preceded her in death in 1973.
Mrs. Landfair was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in Kane. Ruth loved watching birds and wildlife, growing flowers, and reading the Bible.
