Ann K. Powell, 87, formerly of Wilcox, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Aug. 28, 1924, in James City, she was a daughter of Joseph and Anna Mishulk Gezik. She had been married to Norbert Powell who preceded her in death.
Surviving are one sister, Mary Morgan of James City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by three children and five brothers.
Mr. William J. âBuzzâ Paris, 80, unexpectedly passed into the next life at his residence, Monday, Dec. 26, 2011.
He was born March 23, 1931 in Butler to the late William V. and Laura Smead Paris.
Mr. Paris served in the in the US Marine Corps during the Korean conflict as a Sgt. and D.I. of the 1st Marine Division. As an area resident, he owned and operated Buzzâs Saw Shop, was self-employed as an independent logger and named 2000 Logger of the Year by AHUG, worked for his son Bud as a logger, Nortrim Loggerâs Insurance Co., and a Sheffield Police Officer.
