April 11th
Elsa R. Anderson, 98, of 306 Glenwood St., Kane, died Monday at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys, where she resided for the past few weeks. Arrangements are entrusted to Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. and will be announced.
April 10th
Donald L. Novosel, 74, of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Kane and Strongsville, Ohio, died Sunday morning in Bradenton, Fla. Arrangements, entrusted to the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., are incomplete and will be announced.
Raymond LaVerne Allen, 83, of 42 School Street, East Kane, died Friday, April 8, 2011, at his residence.
Born January 14, 1928, in Medix Run, he was a son of Walter Bliss and Bertha Edna Peters Allen. On December 28, 1990, in Kane, he married Christy A. Milford, who survives.
Before his retirement, Mr. Allen had worked at several places, including Wilcox Railroad, Wilcox Tannery, Holgates and then Kane Manufacturing from which he retired.
He attended Wilcox Schools and also helped in the building of the Assembly of God Church in East Kane.
April 4th
William M. Walton, 65, of Highland, near Kane, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie.
Born Jan. 28, 1946 in Marienville, he was the son of James H. and Alice C. Irwin Walton.Â
He was a self-employed in scrap metal recycling for over 40 years.
Surviving are his fiancé, Donna Swanson, with whom he lived; two sons, Joseph Walton of Sheffield and William Walton of Kane; two daughters, Kathy Walton and Christine Anderson, both of Warren; a brother, Gary Walton of Kane; and a sister, Betty Walton of Rochester, N.Y. Five grandchildren also survive.
April 3rd
Beatrice M. Cunningham, 84, formerly of 62 Pennsylvania Ave. in James City, died Sunday morning, April 3, 2011 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Dec. 18, 1926 in Kane, she was the daughter of Victor and Besse Watterson Lantz. On Jan. 21, 1950 in Mt. Jewett, she married Harry H. Cunningham, who died in 1998.
Mrs. Cunningham was an office clerk at Stackpole Corp. in Kane for 16 years and attended Emmanuel Mission Church in Kane.
William A. Walton, 65, of Highland, near Kane, died Sunday at Hamot Medical Center in Erie. Arrangements are entrusted to Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. and will be announced in tomorrow's edition.

Frances “Dolly” (nee Schuster) Dujmovic, age 76 of Chesterland, Ohio, passed away at the Chardon Health Care Center on April 1, 2011 after an extended illness. She was also a cancer survivor.Â
Frances was born on Nov. 23, 1935 to Joseph and Rose (nee Sterbank) Schuster of Ludlow. She was a resident of Ludlow and Kane. She attended Ludlow grade and High School and was a graduate of Kane High School. She was a majorette for the Kane Drum and Bugle Corps and a cheerleader for Kane High School.Â
